Yes I've got to look through the emotes and sort them out. Think we have far to many and they need to be cut down alot.

to right, now if I see an ip addy try to get on the site more then 4 times with different names I block it before they do work out how to get on here

Well we have been spammer free for over 12 hours now, so hopefully I've got the main ones blocked from the website now

Some spammers are still getting through and onto the forum, although these are then caught by the secondary spam program and instantly banned so we don't actually see the spam. This does me we are getting unwanted "introduction" posts made. I have been deleting these every evening/morning as I find them. So hopefully its not causing any problems for anyone.

Yer and to be honest a chatroom is the better option as it doesn't show on the main index it might get more members to post topics and we can do a more "live" chat thing when a number of us are on

Due to the maker of the Shoutbox giving upkeep of the mod up, it has swapped to another person, this person has decided to start charging for the use of the Shoutbox. To this end I will be un-installing it in the next 48 hours. However so that we can still chat to each other in "realtime" I have installed a free chatroom from the same people that make the forum software, so it all ties in nicely together. This chatroom only holds 5 people at moment if/when more space is needed I will look into it, pricing is as follows 20 users/$20 a year, 50 users/$30 a year, 250 users/$80 a year. so its roughly £15 to upgrade the chatroom to the next size, not going to do that unless we get busy though. and that's what counts, I don't care about having hundreds of members, I'd rather have a few members and us be a close knit bunch. Which is just what we are.

It's ok, I have started banning their IP address as well as their email address, they will soon stop trying to get on here

The website is being hit hard be a lot of spammer bots at moment, as soon as I see them I'm banning them but a few are slipping through. The more that register the better I can program the software to block their next attempt at registering, so please bear with me as I get this sorted and kick their asses back into cyber space
